Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you had a disability. It must have been very difficult to be forced to quit something you enjoyed doing. I really hope you'll be able to find something else that works for you! Do you, maybe vaguely, have some idea of what you'd like to do?

Believe it or not, but we were actually colleagues! I work with elderly (and disabled) people as well, though I only work with people who are still living at home. Like you, I have been doing this for longer than I ever expected to, and I completely get what you mean with this line of work feeling like you're making a difference. I enjoy the physicality of it, as well as the unique connections you have with some clients, and I, too, can't picture myself in a 9-5 office job anymore. I mean, never say never, but it just doesn't sound very appealing.

No pressure of course, but if you ever want to share stories about your time working with elderly people, hit me up! I bet you have loads and I'm always curious to hear from other people in this field!
