No problem! No, you definitely don't have to justify your reading preferences to me.I too lose interest in Snarry all the time. You know this, but I went through a pretty severe episode of Snarry weariness/ fandom fatigue not too long ago. As a result, I cut out a lot of fannish things, like my Reddit account, my beta-reading and that fic that I had written and disliked. Even so, my interest only returned during the Swap and is still not quite back to my earlier level, so I definitely know what you're experiencing right now. I think it's normal to go through ups and downs in all your hobbies and interests, so it's all fine. Those fics will still be there when you're ready for them (and if not, I have Morior Animus backed up multiple times :p).
Haha, I knew you would support me branching out! I doubt I'd be into Thorin/ Thranduil either. In fact, not sure if I'd be into any Hobbit/ LOTR pairing. I think I might prefer reading about friendships in that fandom, but we'll see. I'll take a look at what's going on there and will let you know if I come across anything noteworthy.
