It is! I hadn't expected to enjoy the fair as much, or I'd have told you about it sooner. But a DW post works too.
Yeah, I hadn't expected my parents to be quite this enthusiastic. As I said, my father is in the middle of building his first lute, and my mother is an amateur seamstress who's quite serious about improving her skills at the moment, so I hadn't thought they'd want to pick up a new hobby. Not that I mind in the slightest. I fully support anyone trying a new craft and can't wait to see what they're going to make!
Ha, funny that you mention the photos, because except for the last three, they aren't actually mine :p. Should have mentioned that in the post. I nicked the Venice paper photo from one of my classmates and the others from the website of the organisers. I was too hyped at the fair to even think about taking any pics, so this was the best way to include some in the post. They're much better than anything I could have taken anyway, and they show the atmosphere of the fair very well, so I'm a happy thief.
Thank you! The soaps have their charm, don't they? As for future soaps, maybe. I find I'm currently more interested in experimenting with shapes and colours than with adding fancy ingredients, but never say never.
